New Bike Park and Resort Trail Developments!

Brian Head Resort is excited to announce that in the Spring of 2018 it will begin a significant phased improvement program to its existing lift-served downhill mountain bike trail network. The Resort has partnered with the legendary trail building experts at Momentum Trail Concepts to create a modern world-class lift-served trail experience. Momentum is excited about the potential of the unique topography Brian Head has to offer, and will begin efforts as soon as the Winter snow pack recedes.

Phase One of the project will involve top-to-bottom improvements to the Resort’s existing Color Country intermediate trail, and will take approximately six weeks to complete. Upon completion, Color Countrywill be transformed into an easier, modern flow trail spanning approximately 3.5 miles. The Resort plans to have the trail completed and ready to SHRED by mid July in time for its First Annual Rock ‘n Ride Festival on July 14th & 15th.

Updates on Phase Two & Three  of the project will be posted as soon as plans are finalized, and will most likely involve the modernization of the Z-Line and Timberline trails.

The Forest Service is also in the process of improving the famous back country trails Bunker Creek and Dark Hollow. The current plan is to have one fork of Bunker Creek completed and available to riders by July 4th. We will continue to monitor their efforts, and will inform our riders of their progress as information becomes available.

The Resort is committed to informing our guests of these and other exciting Summer Developments as soon as plans solidify.

The Aquarius Trail Hut System

Escape Adventures, in conjunction with the State of Utah and the Dixie National Forest, is officially launching the Aquarius Trail Hut System. The Aquarius Trail Hut System is a 170-mile, backcountry, through-hut mountain bike trail network that begins at Brian Head Peak and finishes in Escalante. There are 5 luxurious, sustainable, off-grid, custom built shipping container huts situated along the Aquarius Trail and the trail networks meander through some of the most magnificent parts of Color Country Utah! Did we mention that this trail system can be reached via lift access from Brian Head Resort? (Look out Europe! Look out British Columbia!) Here is a video of the few epic places that you can get to on this trail via bike: https://vimeo.com/157632733
